DJ working the crowd

On a bright sunny day in Dallas, there was an outdoor sale at a woman’s clothing store and a DJ keeping the atmosphere lively on the parking lot.

Sometimes a photo just jumps out at you. In this case a building reflection in another buildings glass in uptown Dallas.
Driving along Singleton Blvd today in Dallas, through Trinity Terrace I spotted the Texas flag in stiff winds on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. I had to go on across the river to make a u-turn and navigate some traffic to find a place to park and then standing in the middle of the crosswalk, took this picture.

Sometimes, driving down the road I spot a photo op that screams “take my picture” This afternoon, as the sun low on the horizon, I was driving by an old canoe rental facility just outside of Glen Rose on the Brazos River and just had to turn around and take this picture.

I have been thinking about doing a pop-up studio to focus on pet portraits that I do occasionally. It just happens that a friend of mine owns an old historic building in Glen Rose that has a top floor that is unused. There are big windows on the south and northerly exposures giving me a lot of natural light to work with. Above, I did some test shots with no flash on a cloudy day and happy with the results. Now all I have to is a little clean up and move some furniture in that I can use. Should be fun to experiment here.
This is a time-lapse that I took of the Dallas skyline last week. The night was cold and the clouds racing in from the south and the little lights on the upper left of the screen are Southwest Airline flights taking off fro Love Field. I plan to take a series of these shots over the next year and put them together in a collage. Too my photo site – http://scottgipson.zenfolio.com/

Once again, going through my 2017 trip to the Puglia region of Italy, I found this photo of a church that I had no published. One interesting point here is that there were no tourists in the scene to spoil the image.

Going back through my photos from the 2017 trip to Italy, I came across this street scene that I thought appropriate in that this is what I see every day here. Someone checking in!
