And the winner is…
Someone I was traveling with this week made a comment on the increased amount of dogs we are seeing at airports these days. So we get on the Portland to DFW flight and what do I get to sit next to but a rather interesting looking dog with a “snort”! I was able to sneak a couple of photos while the owner was asleep and this is the best one. Talk about happy to alive and in the lap of a very attentive owner. BTW, the tongue was always sticking out, even when snorting!

While traveling through Oregon, we stopped at Multnomah Falls which is one of the “go to” places you really have to visit along the Columbia Gorge. It was a warm day and the ice cream cones people were eating looked great, and standing in line, I spotted this Tip Jar. At least they were honest in what they would spend the extra money on but I almost told Dannielle that she could get a puppy at the local shelter for next to nothing!
Walking recently in downtown Portland, I came across some wall art on an old building. Some of this artwork is really quite well done and very imaginative and I thought this one was worth taking a picture of. #portlandoregon #buildingart
Several years ago, I stated a theme of photographing white horses. At that time, we seemed to have a lot of hight colored horses around and they tended to be more photogenic. In this case, this is an Arabian who is actually a grey but looks white from a distance. I recently though that converting these photos to Black and White may look interesting and from what I can tell, they seem to take on a different “look” of the horse. Let me know what you think.
I have a neighbor who owns a western store catering to the Hispanic and Charro and for those not in Texas, [chahar-oh; Spanish chair-raw] a Mexican horseman or cowboy, typically one wearing an elaborate outfit, often with silver decorations, of tight trousers, ruffled shirt, short jacket, an sombrero. Anyway, was I going by his house least night and spotted all of these sombreros laid out on a trampoline and could not avoid the photo op!
